Tips for buying PSP
First though of creating this blog is because i have been cheated at Sim Lim Square while buying a psp. (ok, im dumb)
So guys, if you wanna buy a new psp, please take note of what i am going to say next.
Do check the following before you buy a PSP:
Firmware
Only firmware below 4.01 can be modified.
If they tell you that the firmware is 4.01 and above, has been modified, please do not buy yet. Make sure that they show you that it can run .iso/.cso file before you buy it.
Most new psp slim 2006 sold from last year has the firmware 4.01 and above. Thus, please beware.
Motherboard with the following model, "TA-088v3" is the new motherboard. Thus, it cant be modified.
Type of psp
PSP Phat, PSP Slim 2000, PSP Slim 2006, PSP Slim 3000
Only PSP Phat, most PSP 2000 and some PSP Slim 2006 can be modified.
Update PSP firmware

Checking of PSP motherboard
To those who have already bought one and is not sure you have been cheated,
1) You can use "TA-088v3 Identifier" to check if your psp has the TA-088v3 motherboard.
2) Shut down your psp by holding the power button for 5seconds. On it back and press the R1 for another 5seconds.
If you see a black screen (debug mode), Congratz - your psp is being modified.
If you see the normal "Sony Entertainment", try again. If it is the same, Congratz too - you have been cheated. LOL
