"I LOVE YOU"

Read this story some time ago. Decided to post here since i find it very meaningful.

Translated (Sorry for the poor translation):

“A date with a woman?” said the husband. Having to be married for 21years, the husband found a way to keep love fresh in mind.

Not long ago, the husband went on a date with another woman. The surprising thing is that it was his wife's idea. Below is their conversation.

Wife: I know you love her very much

Husband (surprise): But its you that I love!

Wife: I know, but you love her too

The woman that the wife wanted her husband to date is the husband's mother. The old woman had been living alone for the past 19years. Because of the busy lifestyle and being a father of two, the husband had been neglecting his mom alot and had little time for her. That night, the husband calls his mom and invited her to dinner and movie the next day.

The old lady picked up.

Old Lady: Hi, how are you?

Husband: Can I invite you to dinner and movie tomorrow?

The old lady pause for a moment, wondering if something has happened as the call came after midnight. However, the old lady still decided to agree to the date.

Old lady: I love to.

It was a Friday night. The husband drove to the old lady's house and picked her up, feeling nervous and weird as he had not date his mom before. When the husband reached, the old lady was sitting in the living room, wearing a sweater waiting happily for him. When the husband enters, the old lady said, "I told my friends that I’m going on a date with my son. They were all so jealous and excited to hear about the details of our date."

They went to a restaurant which is not considered very luxurious, but is very beautifully decorated. They went up to a table and sat down. As the old lady could not read the menu due to poor eyesight, the husband had to read the menu for her. While they were having dinner, they were talking so happily about things that happens in their life. They were so indulged with the talk that they missed the movie as a result. As the day ended, the husband pay for the bill and drove the old lady back to her house. Before the husband left, the old lady told him that she had an enjoyable day and would like to go out with him again. But this time, decisions will be made by her. The husband agreed.

When the husband reached home, the wife asked him, “How was the dinner?”. “It was enjoyable, better than what I had expected”, the husband replied.

Few days later, the old lady dies of heart attack. The incident happened so sudden that it caught the husband off guard. Not long after that, the husband receives a letter with a receipt of the restaurant that they went to the last time. On the note it says, “I have already settle the bill. Because of my health, I’m sure I will not get a chance to go again. Thus, I have paid for a two person bill, for you and your wife. You never know how much it means to me the other night. I love you. "
